  • Very good pierogi, the service is nice and helpful, especially Mrs. Justyna. We will definitely come back here in the future.
  • The dumplings are on the same level as in Toruń. I was not disappointed. The piecuchy is delicious and the portions themselves are huge. I sincerely recommend.
  • Super dumplings, we ordered a mixed set and each one - delicious but the most with lentils and chicken and sweet pie.
  • Great place. So delicious . Pierogis are a must try! And the homemade lemonade was very tasty. We'll come back here for sure
  • The food is like at home: tasty, not greasy (which is very important), the zurek was excellent! The drinks were good. Service friendly and with good English.

About our restaurant

Wandering through the alleys of Gdańsk's Main Town, we come to the Motława River. Here, the majestic Crane Gate overlooks the nearby marina and the revitalized Granary Island, while passers-by admire the charm of Hanseatic architecture.

This picturesque part of Gdańsk, whose history dates back to the Middle Ages, is the setting for your visit to Pierogarnia Stary Młyn at 10 Chmielna Street! Visit us in the stylish space of the Deo granary, where historic accents from the interwar period combine with modern comfort.

Admire the waterfront panorama of the colorful tenement houses of Długie Pobrzeże, watch the movement of ships and the hustle and bustle of the city, while enjoying the traditional taste of dishes that bring back the sweetest memories.

About our tenement house

The first granaries were built on Granary Island in the 14th century, when the expansion of Gdańsk's port infrastructure necessitated the efficient storage and transport of resources. During the prosperity of the 15th century, the Soli Deo Gloria triad of granaries was built to serve as grain warehouses.

In the 21st century, the Deo and Gloria granaries, which survived fires and wars, have been given a new lease of life. Numerous restaurants, bars, and hotels are rewriting the history of the bustling banks of the Motława River, where the hustle and bustle of coastal trade has been replaced by the cheerful buzz of tourists and peaceful relaxation in charming surroundings.
