  • The dumplings were very tasty, we ordered different types to compare them. All of them were really good. You may also try some specialties of the local cuisine. The building itself is spacious, there's a little corner for children, where they can play while waiting for the meal. The staff are friendly, and you don't wait too long. Highly recommended.
  • I had wonderful original polish food, with extremely good taste and a perfect service by the very friendly, courteous and all time smiling waitress Natalia.
  • It is a very very good restaurant at the centre. Service is a bit slow but staff is very friendly and food is very tasty. Strongly recommended.

About our restaurant

Piotrkowska Street is teeming with the remarkable history of Łódź - and nobody needs to be convinced about it. However, the tenement house in which our Pierogarnia is located stands out even against such a unique background! Built at the beginning of the 20th century in the then fashionable Art Nouveau style, five-storey, with an impressive façade heralding the advent of modernism. It was here that in 1945 the first book rental for children and teenagers was opened in the city.

And today we invite whole families, friends, relatives and acquaintances to Pierogarnia; to celebrate important moments together, laugh and create memories. At a table filled with our dumplings, sweet and salty, in a cozy atmosphere or in a large, lively company.

Let the magic of Łódź and the magic taste of our pierogi charm you - according to traditional recipes and always with fresh, local ingredients.

About our tenement house

Today, Piotrkowska Street in Łódź is one of the longest shopping streets in Europe, the buildings of which continue to delight both the inhabitants of the city and numerous tourists. The tenement house at 37 Piotrkowska Street, which is home to our Pierogarnia, was built at the very beginning of the 20th century on the recommendation of the plot's owner, Dawid Szmulewicz. The author of the design was Gustaw Landau-Gutenteger, one of the most outstanding architects of the time, who created a modern building for its time, heralding the advent of modernism and impressive in its form: five-storey, with a clear facade division, bay windows, sparing use of details and an interesting, slender dome topped with a cupola.
