About our restaurant

"Toruń is built on... pierogi! We love gingerbread, but there’s no shadow of doubt, that the legendary taste of our oven-baked pierogi will steal your hearts. Heartwarming is also the history of our Pierogarnia- to the tenement house we reside in, you’re invited by… angels!
The Blue House of Angels took it’s name from angels’ winged heads, placed under first floor’s windows on this beautiful building.

And today, we are inviting you under our culinary wings. Feel at home in historic, cozy interiors, full of wood, greenery and natural lighting. And, of course, delicious pierogi! Always baked on the spot, using fresh ingredients of the highest quality.

Taste the best Toruń has to offer. See you at the table!"

About our tenement house

The Blue House of Angels - this is the name of the tenement house at 28 Łazienna Street, where we welcome the guests of our Pierogarnia - is an amazing example of the multi-layered history of Toruń. It was built on the basis of two former three-axis Hanseatic Gothic tenement houses, which were combined in the 1860s, and the building was transformed into a multi-apartment tenement house. At the beginning of the next century, a fourth floor was added, and the ground floor was equipped with impressive, display windows and converted into a commercial space. The heads of angels above the entrance and the Art Nouveau character of the tenement house bring to mind both the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Venetian style.
